Glaciers and Bergy Bits in Tracy Arm

The glaciers in Tracy Arm dwarfed our boat. We watched chunks of ice falling from the blue cliffs. Bird dove for fish and dodged the ice, looking like little specks against the cold backdrop. We kept our distance, but still felt close to the receding glacier.
In some areas we dodged large bergy bits, proceeding slowly, in and out of idle, until we could go no further. We turned the engines off and let the Jack drift with the ice for about an hour, getting the Wildcat out for a closer tour.

Alden is getting some great shots.

On our way out of the inlet we pulled to the side to let a huge cruise ship pass.

Some of the bergs were mesmerizing. Morgan agrees.
