Mom and Leah snap photos of the whales. We saw so many, we felt surrounded and didn't know where to look. We would get a start to hear a big whoosh as a whale came up for air behind us and we would spin around to watch him slowly sink back down.
Seth and Leah led in our workout for the day. There were a lot of planks involved.
Exploring Baird glacier. After a freezing dinghy ride of almost an hour we arrived to explore the terminal moraines of this huge ice river.
It was like discovering a new planet. One small step for Alden...
Such good sports in the cold.
The glacier was big and beautiful and had deposited hills and valleys, small lakes and giant chunks of ice for us to discover.
Time for a leisurely kayak.
Throwing in the crab pots.
A fun hike through the woods. Like most of our Alaska hikes, this one consisted of mossy, slippery rotting boardwalk, wet rocks and mud.
Mom navigated her way along the trail, combatting sea legs and a good dose of Dramamine. She had the most fun.
It's not all fun and games up here.
The Wildcat was trying really hard to reach a plane with all of us, but it needed a little help.
